Press Release
Doris Goodale to run for AZ House
Retired Mohave County Probation Department administrator and former Kingman School Board member Doris Goodale announced today she will seek a seat in the Arizona House of Representatives representing District 3.
Goodale, a native Arizonan has lived in Mohave County most of her life; retired as Assistant Chief Probation Officer for adult services after 34 years of service to Mohave County in 2006. Goodale was elected to the Kingman Elementary Governing Board in 1984 and served until 2007; Goodale was a driving force in the process of unification of the Kingman elementary and high school districts and has received statewide recognition from her peers for her work in probation and her service on the school board. She continues to be an active member in many community organizations.
“The people have a right to expect and receive a high standard of personal and professional conduct from those who represent them. Goodale, a fiscal conservative, seeks to restore the peoples’ faith and trust in their elected representatives. During my career with the probation department, as a representative of the Court, I adhered to a high ethical standard; a stringent code of conduct. As a school board member I practiced principled leadership. A look into a person’s past should provide some insight in how one will conduct them self in the future” Goodale said.
“The people of District 3 and rural Arizona are asking for a strong and principled voice in the Legislature. I will be there each day the Legislature is in session, prepared to address issues which are important to everyone in District 3 such as: illegal immigration, taxes, local control, education, health issues, economic and business development, methamphetamine crisis and budget issues. I enjoy working with people so naturally I am excited about getting out and discussing ideas and issues people have with their State government. I will be attentive to all areas within District 3 and visit all areas regularly”.
Legislative District 3 includes all of Mohave County, a large portion of La Paz County and the City of Page in Northern Coconino County. “I plan to run an active campaign in all parts of District 3, from Windom to Page and Beaver Dam-Littlefield to Wikieup to Quartzite” Goodale said.
